PCI-SIG® DevCon Taiwan Recap: A Triumphant Return to Taipei
The PCI-SIG® Developers Conference returned to Taipei, Taiwan for the first time since 2019 on Feb. 20-21 at the Taipei Marriott Hotel. With 674 total attendees, it was the highest-ever turnout for a DevCon. We are grateful for the incredible support from our members in Taiwan and throughout the region. This is proof that PCI-SIG is truly a global organization, and members are eager to learn and share what they are developing with PCI Express® (PCIe®) technology.
PCI-SIG Developers Conferences are free events for our 900+ member companies that develop and bring to market new products utilizing PCIe technology. They are an opportunity to learn directly from the industry’s PCIe experts and participate in technical trainings to gain best practices to improve product roll-out and interoperability.
We were excited to offer a robust agenda of 13 sessions over two days. Topics included compliance updates, PCIe 6.0 specification updates, CEM specification updates and Members Implementation Experiences on a variety of topics. Attendees also had the chance to visit booths from our sponsors and learn how companies in Taiwan are implementing PCIe technology. A big thank you to our sponsors: Allion Taiwan, Anritsu, iPasslabs Technology, Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, Samtec, SerialTek, Synopsys, Teledyne LeCroy and Viavi Solutions.
We also hosted Compliance Workshop #123 in Taipei on Feb. 21-24. This workshop had great attendance with 208 registrants and 68 total PCIe products tested.
The Marketing Work Group (MWG) held a roundtable meeting with marketing representatives from companies in the region. The group discussed marketing objectives for 2023 and tactics to expand PCI-SIG’s international focus.
In addition, we presented a press conference, which was attended by several representatives from regional media. I updated them on all of PCI-SIG’s progress over the last year and what’s coming up in 2023 and beyond. The press conference generated coverage in Mashdigi, EE Times Taiwan and CTimes.
Thank you to everyone who made this the best-attended DevCon yet, and we hope to see you in Taipei next year.
