- Can you provide a brief overview of your company?

- Why did your company join PCI-SIG?
By joining PCI-SIG, Teledyne LeCroy can have a voice in the development of new PCIe specifications and revisions to existing specifications. This gives Teledyne LeCroy the opportunity to ensure that the PCIe standard meets the needs of its customers and the industry as a whole.
- What is the biggest advantage of PCI-SIG membership?
The biggest advantage of PCI-SIG membership is the ability to influence the direction of the PCIe standard. PCI-SIG is a standards organization, and its members have a voice in the development of new specifications and revisions to existing specifications. This gives members a unique opportunity to shape the future of PCIe technology and ensure that it meets the needs of their businesses and customers.
- How does your company participate in PCI-SIG?
We actively participate in working groups to help define the PCIe standard. We also attend Compliance Workshops to test devices and help member companies get their PCIe products on the integrators list.
- What expertise does your company bring to PCI-SIG?
Our PCIe physical and protocol-layer test experts prepare member companies for compliance and interoperability testing to get approved for the PCI-SIG Integrators List. In addition, we offer innovative and novel test ideas and practical solutions that benefit all member companies, as well as the entire PCIe technology ecosystem.
- What does your company see as PCI-SIG’s impact within the industry?
PCI-SIG is the central organization that brings together test equipment suppliers and PCIe equipment vendors to work together more efficiently and comprehensively. This coordination of all the various activities involved in creating new specifications and hosting compliance workshops and developer conferences has allowed Teledyne LeCroy to develop new products ahead of demand and speed the adoption of new PCIe specifications in the marketplace. This confidence that all necessary enabling technologies can advance as required is vital for the entire PCI Express technology ecosystem.
- Which market segments benefit the most from PCIe technology?
PCIe technology benefits a variety of market segments, but the market that benefits the most right now is the data center. PCIe architecture is used to connect high-performance storage devices to servers in data centers. This allows data centers to store and process large amounts of data quickly and efficiently.
- Which future applications of PCIe technology is your company most looking forward to?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a rapidly growing field that requires high-speed data transfer. PCIe technology provides the high-speed data transfer that AI needs to function effectively.
